Veterans Day 2021

Today, we honor and thank those who have sacrificed or given their all so we could enjoy the freedoms and blessings that the United States has to offer. Many of us know someone who has served or is serving; maybe it’s our spouse, parent, uncle, aunt, grandparent, friend, or other relative who has selflessly given of themselves. To all, we wish a very happy Veterans Day, but we especially wish our everyday heroes of yesterday, today, and tomorrow, a wonderful day!

While there is no way to repay our debt of gratitude to our Veterans, living or passed, we must ensure that we show them our thankfulness by supporting and advocating for their causes. For example, fighting for their advancement in the workplace, reminding our legislators to pass laws that protect Veterans’ rights, assisting in community-based programs aimed at providing housing, healthcare, and food for our homeless and needy Veterans.

Often, we take life and our freedoms for granted; if there was anything the coronavirus pandemic taught us, it was that life is fragile and our safety and security comes at a cost. For all of us residing in the United States, we have watched and benefited from our fellow-Americans’ commitment to a life of servitude in uniform—while we have thoroughly enjoyed the best that America has to offer—because of who they were and what they did, for us.

So today, and every day, thank a Veteran for all they have done for our nation and our persons!
