Every day, you give your all to the call of mission, duty, and honor to protect this nation’s transportation security systems and, most importantly, its people. Every. Damn. Day. There is no give, no breaking down to consider your own perils as Federal employees; only grit, determination, and consistent security and care provided to the United States of America and the people who travel through it every day. We thank you for your service, we are grateful for your selflessness, and we plan on paying you back by getting legislation passed through our advocacy on your behalf.
As we fight vigorously, along with our Administrator, for Title 5 rights and pay equity within Congress, please know, that we do so with your hard work, perseverance, and commitment to duty, in mind. Like you, we will not quit! We will not break! We will not bend! We are working with law makers, TSA, DHS, and this presidential administration to finally attain what we are long overdue. We respectfully request your patience, optimism, and support as we aggressively move forward in this fight. There is nothing more we want than to finally achieve what is ours and yours by rights.
This week, you will find yourselves facing the many challenges that we always face, as Federal employees, Transportation Security Officers, and public service workers; the rigorous demands of the job, our oath to uphold the Constitution, defend the mission, and the busyness of the holiday season—all while worrying about the future of our agency. Rest assured, however, that Council 100 has not and will not relent in ensuring our members receive everything they deserve. Our hope is that this occurs by year’s end. And we are doing all that is necessary to achieve this goal. We ask in return, that you stay with us, believe in us, and fight with us. Happy Thanksgiving!
