Whether you celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, a combination of these, something else, or nothing at all, Council 100 wants to wish you a very happy and safe holiday season! During the extreme busyness of air travel which seems to increase year over year, as public servants, we encounter the best and worst of giddy or moody passengers. We help them get through the most
difficult times, such as losing loved ones or the reminder that, during the holiday season, they are gone, or the hecticness of travel, connecting and rebooking flights, and yes, taking stuff away! ☺
We also celebrate with those who are visiting family (again!), or for the first time, whether it’s a short plane ride across the state, or a few hours to the Pacific Northwest, Southwest, Midwest, or Southern
states, opposing coasts, or overseas to enchanted lands far away from here. We assist the traveling
public every day in all these and other endeavors year-round, yet this is the most delicate time for kindness, politeness, and spreading good cheer to all whom cross our paths for the one and only time, or for the hundredth time. It is also a critical time for vigilance and not permitting ourselves to become complacent during the diligence of our duties.
We have and always will continue to uphold the Mission of TSA. This, or any future holiday season,
will be no different, as the TSA workforce is unmovable in its conviction of preventing a catastrophic
event from occurring on U.S. soil by way of weaponized aircraft. As the holiday season winds down, over this next week, forcibly pushing us into the new year, we are grateful for all your sacrifice, time,
and efforts in keeping us all safe from harm. Council 100 is deeply indebted to you for your leadership as Union representatives, your membership as dues-paying activists, and your partnership as pro-Union supporters. Our work is far from done, and in fact, much of the heavy lifting has yet to begin, but we are ready for whatever challenges are presented, as we have always been . . . Since the Beginning.
Happy Holidays,
AFGE Council 100
